AG Force One and the AG in the Box Curriculum:
Revolutionizing Agricultural Education
Mr. Calhoun’s latest endeavor, AG Force One, seeks to create a new generation of “digital farmers” by combining traditional agricultural knowledge with innovative farming technology. Through the United STEAM Consortium of Agribusiness Network (USCAN), AG Force One introduces Generation Alpha and Generation Beta to agriculture, beginning in underserved communities. This initiative uses AG in the Box—a unique five-tier curriculum—to guide students through a progressively advanced understanding of agriculture and agribusiness.
AG in the Box’s curriculum is designed to start students with foundational knowledge and gradually increase their expertise as they progress through each tier, focusing on the essentials of food production, sustainable farming, and nutrition. The first tier introduces them to plant science and soil health basics, while later tiers incorporate digital farming techniques, business strategies, and environmental science. By engaging with each tier, students develop a well-rounded perspective that integrates practical and technical skills in agriculture, preparing them to be innovators and leaders in a rapidly evolving field.
With AG Force One, Mr. Calhoun and his team are addressing critical issues such as food deserts, childhood obesity, and diabetes. By establishing community gardens and partnering with local farmers, AG Force One works to transform food deserts into food oases, where residents can access fresh, healthy food options. The initiative connects youth with local black-owned cooperatives, restaurants, and bookstores, fostering a sense of community and economic growth.
AG Force One’s Corps recruits’ people from local communities, including youth and young adults, to work alongside local farmers, Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs), and White Predominant Institutions (WPI’s) with agriculture-focused curricula. These partnerships allow AG Force One to bring hands-on agricultural education to schools and community centers from preschool to high school. Through AG in the Box, AG Force One combines traditional farming methods with digital resources to teach self-reliance and community support.

As BFOUR we have figured out how to combine ole school agricultural knowledge with the new school farming technology. Thereby making Generation Alpha some of the first digital farmers which will in turn will be teaching the Beta Generation. STEM University International will be using interactive hands-on activities for hyper connectivity, independence and group related (G.A.P.S) Games, Activities, Programs in STEAM while learning through the screens and digital environments.
